Due to COVID restrictions and other circumstances, we've had to move our Gala Ball to Sunday December 20. Last year, we tried a new city venue between our 2 locations, however with the year that it's been and the additional COVID procedures, we thought it best to return to a familiar and comfortable venue.
The Gala Ball will be returning to George's Restaurant in Camberwell and I'm sure many long-time Dance 4 Life students will remember this fantastic venue that has hosted 2 previous Dance 4 Life Gala Balls and several Medal Presentation evenings. We consistently had positive reviews of this venue, particularly the service and the food! We do apologize for the date change, however due to venue capacity restrictions, we have found it difficult to lock in a venue for all our members on a busy Saturday night. We hope it doesn't put too many members out of place, but we promise you, you'll have a fantastic time, and I think many students may already be looking forward to the delicious food at George's! For those new to the studio, our Gala Ball is our end-of-year celebration! Dress up in formal and enjoy a night of social dancing, performances and end-of-year awards. Included is a 3-course dinner as well as champagne on arrival! Despite the challenging year, we still have many student and staff performances being prepared to keep you all entertained on this evening! DANCE 4 LIFE GALA BALL Date: Sunday December 20th, from 5pm until late Location: George's Restaurant, 819 Burke Rd, Camberwell Attire: Formal Tickets: $90 per person (includes 3-course dinner and champagne on arrival) To book your tickets, please email us and transfer your ticket money to our bank account: Bank Account: Dance 4 Life Studios BSB: 063 155 Acc: 1033 8235 Great news, D4L Family! Eased dance restrictions have been confirmed starting November 23.
Our end-of-year celebration and ball is set for Saturday December 19, where we celebrate with food, dancing, performances and awards!
As you can imagine, there are few other details that need to be planned for this year's Gala, but we are finalizing the venue and format later this week. Stay tuned for more details. Meanwhile, check out one of last year's Gala performances! Our hearts are full after our first day with members back at the studio! It was great to see everyone in person and we were impressed with seeing everyone's development during this time in the virtual realm. If you felt a little nervous being back physically, don't worry, it's absolutely natural after having been able to dance in the privacy of your home for 7 months! We'd like to say a massive thank you for supporting us during this time by adapting to the virtual learning format Although a very different learning medium, we knew that given the right format, it was still possible to keep everyone dancing to make sure you guys stayed active this year. We couldn't have done it without all of you being open-minded and willing to embrace a different way of learning! As we start re-adjusting back to dancing at the studio, keep in mind we're still in a transitional period for easing of restrictions. As we are able to, we'll slowly revert back to our format of partner rotation and everyone in the same room. Stay tuned later this week, we'll have more info about the next phase starting Monday November 23. SATURDAY NOVEMBER 14 - PRACTICE CLASS & MEDAL REHEARSAL
