Membership & Payments
- A Dance 4 Life membership provides ongoing access to lessons and services through a subscription model.
- Memberships are not pay-per-lesson arrangements for included services.
- Memberships include a weekly lesson quota (private lessons and/or group classes), depending on your tier.
- Memberships include access to the online video portal.
Subscription Payments
- Membership subscription fees are charged fortnightly in advance via direct debit.
- If applicable, classes or services taken outside your weekly quota are charged separately.
Active & Inactive Memberships
- An active membership indicates your subscription is running, otherwise it is inactive.
- Quota, services and makeup credits only remain available if a membership subscription is active.
Minimum Term
- All memberships have a minimum 4-week term.
- Amending your membership tier restarts a new 4-week minimum term.
- Each membership week (and thus any membership term) runs from a Sunday to Saturday.
Annual Membership Fee
- An Annual Membership Fee applies for each new calendar year.
- For most members, this is processed as a continuation of the regular subscription during the End-of-Year Break.
- For members who’ve temporarily suspended during the End-of-Year Break, this is charged as a flat annual fee instead.
- New members are not charged at sign-up, but the fee applies when continuing into a new calendar year.
Private Lessons
- Private lesson credits accrue weekly as part of an active membership and can only be used while a subscription is active.
- 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a private lesson.
- Late cancellations or reschedules result in the booked lesson being forfeited.
Group Classes
- Group classes are accessed through an active membership.
- Members may book classes appropriate to their membership tier and current level.
- Group classes may be cancelled or rescheduled due to operational needs, as outlined in the full Terms & Conditions.
- Private makeup credits:
- may be issued for unused quota as per the makeup policy
- Group makeup credits:
- are issued for unused quota on holding membership tiers and some legacy membership tiers
- expire immediately if the membership is cancelled, amended, or downgraded.
- All makeup credits:
- can only be used while your membership subscription is active.
- classes attended while inactive are charged at casual/inactive rates.
- are booking entitlements only and are non-refundable, non-transferrable and not convertible to cash
- can only be used while your membership subscription is active.
Member Portal
- Membership portal is accessible with an active membership.
- Access to higher-level content is granted as you complete and demonstrate the relevant medal levels.
Membership Changes
- Memberships may be amended, suspended, or cancelled with 7 days’ notice by email.
- Amendments:
- are changes to the membership tier
- can be permanent or temporary, with temporary amendments reverting to the original membership at a fixed date
- of under 4 weeks are treated as suspensions for billing purposes
- Suspensions & Cancellations
- Suspensions require a fixed return date (not approximate)
- If no fixed return date is provided, the membership will be treated as a cancellation for administrative and billing purposes. The membership can be reactivated at any time.
- No refunds are issued for unused membership time
Participation & Risk
- Dance is a physical activity and carries inherent risk.
- Participation is at your own risk.
- Dance 4 Life is not liable for injury, loss, or damage except where required by law.
