About Dance 4 LifeDance 4 Life is run by RJ and Ali — best friends of over 20 years — with the support of their partners and families.
What started as a shared passion for dance has grown into a studio focused on helping people feel comfortable, confident, and connected in partner dancing. Our approachWe believe dancing should be enjoyable, social, and something you can actually use in real life.
Rather than focusing on performance or competition, our teaching is centred around lead and follow — giving you the ability to dance with different partners, to different music, in a variety of settings. Our goal is simple — to make dancing feel accessible, natural, and rewarding. |
Our more personalised approach allows us to offer a more connected experience across every part of your learning.
This means everything feels consistent and supportive, whether you’re in a lesson, a group class, or a social dance setting.

Our experience
Ali has been teaching partner dancing since 2007, and RJ since 2010 — bringing over 30 years of combined teaching experience.
Over the years, we’ve trained across a wide range of styles, including Latin, Ballroom, and Brazilian partner dancing, and have travelled internationally to learn from leading instructors in these fields.
We’ve also taught, performed, competed and run workshops across Australia, sharing our passion for social partner dancing with a wide range of communities.
While our focus is social dancing, our broader dance experience helps bring depth and structure to our teaching.

Why we do it
At the heart of it, we don’t teach dance for competition or performance.
We teach it for the joy, confidence, connection, and personal growth it can bring to people’s lives.
